Jen Townley came to KRMG from across the building, where she worked for 8 years as an Emmy Award-winning producer for FOX23 News. Jen and her husband moved to Tulsa in 2008 from Monroe, Louisiana where she worked for 8 years as a reporter and anchor for KNOE-TV 8 News. She started her career in TV at News 12 Long Island, shortly after graduating from Hofstra University in 1998, with a BA in Electronic Journalism and a minor in Speech and Rhetorical Studies. Jennifer is a native New Yorker. She moved to Louisiana in 2000 to follow her dream to become a journalist. While in Louisiana Jennifer earned many Associated Press awards for reporting. Jennifer was part of the team and edited the six-part series which won broadcast journalism’s equivalent of the Pulitzer Prize, the DuPont-Columbia Silver Baton, in 2006. The story, “Names, Ranks, and Serial Plunders: the National Guard and Katrina” also won LA Associated Press Story of the Year in 2006. Jennifer won three more LA Associated Press awards including first place for Best in Depth Series in 2005. Most recently Jen won a Heartland Regional Emmy for Fox23 News at Noon in 2015.
