Another OU basketball player leaves the program

By Rick Couri, KRMG Sports director

The offseason exodus of players from Oklahoma continues as center Orlando Allen says he plans to skip his final season of eligibility. Allen said Wednesday in a release from Oklahoma's athletic department that he plans to graduate this summer, get a job and

focus on supporting his family. The 6-foot-10 junior from Cincinnati became a father last month. Allen averaged 1.2 points and 1.9 rebounds in nine games this season for Oklahoma, which finished 13-18 and recorded its first losing season in 29 years. He is the fourth player to leave the Sooners since the season ended. Guards Willie Warren and Tommy Mason-Griffin both have said they will turn pro and another guard, Ray Willis, says he will transfer. Assistant coach Oronde Taliaferro also resigned earlier this

month.
