For the Kids
Mad Science: Star Trek Live. Got little Trekkies in the house? Don't miss the integration of theatre, audience and science at Tulsa Performing Arts Center tonight. 7pm.
Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. The kids know the book by heart - now they can see it on stage as presented by the always-wonderful Playhouse Tulsa. Showtimes Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Friday Night Fireworks with Tulsa Drillers. It's the first Friday Night Fireworks of the 2011 season at ONEOK Field tonight. Stick around after the game to watch as a huge fireworks show lights up the downtown sky. Game time is 7:05pm. Drillers also play Saturday at 7:05, when you could get a free Drillers Snuggie if you're one of the first 1,500 fans through the gate, and Sunday is Family FUNday Sunday, when your kids eat free and have a chance at a free baseball clinic at the game, 2:05pm.
Free Family Saturday at Philbrook. Join your fam and participate in hands-on art projects; explore artworks in the Museum collection and on special exhibition through family friendly tours; go on adventurous scavenger hunts and more. Did I mention that it’s free? Through 5pm.

Get Outside
SpringFest Garden Market and Festival. Gardening is an institution here in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and today and tomorrow all gardeners worth their salt will be mixing and mingling at SpringFest. Find lots of plants for sale as well as garden art, garden advice, crafts, food and fun for you and the kids. 9-4pm each day, Tulsa Garden Center.
Cherry Street Farmers Market 2011 Season Opening. It's the area's largest outdoor market for all things yummy, green, farm-fresh and artsy fartsy, and it opens bright and early Saturday morning at 7am. Find it on 15th Street, just east of Peoria.
Keystone Ancient Forest Open Hike Day. Did you know that the Tulsa area is home to an ancient forest? It's true, and today is one of just a few days each year you can hike the trails there. Visit TashaDoesTulsa.com for directions.
Open House at Oklahoma Centennial Botanical Garden. Enjoy the natural beauty of the Osage Hills, walk miles of trails in search of wildlife and, if you can get there at 11am, get gardening advice from a Master Gardener at Tulsa’s very own evolving botanical garden site. Through 4pm. Bring the kids.

Music
Kings of Leon. The band was recently nominated for two Grammy awards - one of Best Rock Performances by a Duo or Group with Vocals and another for Best Rock Song - and tonight, they're playing the BOK Center here in Tulsa. Band of Horses opens. 7:30pm.
Heart. Hope you've got your ticket to Heart tonight, y'all, because this show of '70s and '80s rock, metal and power ballads has been sold out for weeks. See it at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino starting at 8pm tonight.
The Aluminum Show. Dancing, flying and snaking across the stage and around the theater - it's the Aluminum Show in its Oklahoma premier, right here in Tulsa this weekend. Showtimes today, tomorrow and Sunday. Tulsa Performing Arts Center.
Tickets on Sale: Widespread Panic. Widespread Panic is coming to Tulsa’s BOK Center June 19 and this morning is your first chance at tickets. 10am Saturday morning.
Tulsa Art Studio Tour. Nine artists. Two days. Ten bucks, two backstage passes to the best of Tulsa’s bustling art scene. It’s Tulsa Art Studio Tour 2011, and you have all day Saturday and Sunday to check it out. Get details and a map at TashaDoesTulsa.com.
Nude Art Show. Did you know that Tulsa has its very own nude art show? It's true, and it's called, quite simply, Nude Art Show. Though tickets are sold out, I wanted to tell you about it anyway. It's at Club Majestic downtown at 8pm Saturday night, and the evening will include works of art in paintings, sculpture, photography and performance.

Movies
Arthur. Irresponsible charmer Arthur Bach (played by Russell Brand) faces his biggest challenge -- choosing between an arranged marriage or an uncertain future with the only woman he has ever loved. Helen Mirren and Jennifer Garner also star.
Born to be Wild. This documentary follows orphaned orangutans and elephants and the people who rescue and raise them. It looks like a huge dose of tear-jerking, heartwarming adventure, and it's in 3D.
Hanna. Saoirse Ronan plays a woman raised by her father, an ex-CIA man, in the wilds of Finland, and her upbringing and training have been one and the same, all geared to making her the perfect assassin. Sounds like the story of my life.
Soul Surfer. The teen surfer and shark attack survivor Bethany Hamilton, who lost her arm and returned to competitive surfing, is the spotlight in this film.
Your Highness. Danny McBride, James Franco and Natalie Portman star in a slacker fantasy quest to save a kingdom from powerful evil forces.
