The weekend happenings with TashaDoesTulsa.com!

By Rick Couri, KRMG Sports director

Tasha Ball of TashaDoesTulsa.com joins us each Friday with a sampling of the most exciting weekend events in the Tulsa area.

Music and Tickets
Brad Paisley. The 2008 CMA and ACM male vocalist of the year and 2010 entertainer of the year returns to Tulsa with the H20 World Tour. Saturday night, 7:30pm, BOK Center.
Wicked. Wicked is in Tulsa once again. Winner of 35 major awards, including a Grammy and three Tony Awards, Wicked is Broadway's biggest blockbuster, a cultural phenomenon that was just named "the defining musical of the decade" by The New York Times. See this show in its second run in downtown Tulsa. Five showtimes between Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Bret Michaels. He's at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Catoosa. Saturday, 8pm.
Martin Short: Tickets on Sale. Comedian Martin Short is making a stop in Bixby at the SpiritBank Event Center and this morning is your first chance at tickets. 9am, SpiritBank Event Cente.
Moody Blues: Tickets on sale. The Moody Blues are coming to Tulsa's Brady Theater May 3 and this morning is your first chance at tickets. 10am, Brady Theater.
Brookside Music Crawl, November Edition. Looking for a couple dozen local bands playing in a slew of hip Brookside venues, all for free, all Friday evening long? Look no further than tonight starting at 7pm.

For the Fam/Christmas (Already!)
Dickens on the Boulevard. Get entertainment, shopping, Victorian costumes, dancing and, if you can believe it, more at this holiday festival with a yesteryear theme. Hours are 6-10pm. It's all free and open to the public.
Santa's Wonderland at Bass Pro. Get a big, fat dose of Christmas (and some huntin' gear, while you're at it - heh) at Bass Pro Shops Santa's Wonderland, which opened just this week.
Jenks Christmas Parade. Experience the hometown holiday charm of Jenks Saturday morning with the annual Jenks Christmas Parade - they get things done early out south. While you're there, check out the Jenks Holiday Open House, a 60-year tradition that showcases our very own antique capital of the world. Starting Saturday morning at 10am.
Barney Live! Birthday Bash. Celebrate Barney's birthday with this brand-new interactive live stage concert featuring more than two dozen fun and upbeat tunes that your preschooler is sure to love. Get it all weekend long at the Tulsa Convention Center in downtown Tulsa. Four showtimes between Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Kids' Academy. A free event for kids age 6-12 to learn and enjoy live symphonic music. Children learn about the many aspects of symphony concerts, and the last 15 minutes are spent on stage with the symphony during the dress rehearsal for the concert that evening. Parents are welcome, too. Saturday, 12:45pm, Bartlesville Community Center.
Garden Glow. The third annual Garden Glow event at Philbrook Museum of Art kicks off the holiday season with what is truly one of the most beautiful and exciting of Tulsa traditions Saturday night. 5pm.
Route 66 Marathon. The fifth annual Williams Route 66 Marathon packs a marathon, half-marathon, marathon relay, 5k and fun run into one morning of fitness and Tulsa-centric awesomeness. The race features more than 40 live bands to cheer runners on along the course; there's a post-race party and and free concerts; a classic car show; a Health, Fitness and Sustainability Expo presented by St. John Health System today and Saturday at Tulsa Convention Center; and there's even a pasta dinner at Cain's Ballroom Saturday night to help all those runners load up on carbs. Find the Start/finish line at Veterans Park, 1875 S. Boulder. Sunday morning bright and early, with much of the festivities continuing throughout the morning.

Movies
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1. Billed as the motion picture event of a generation, the Harry Potter saga continues with this first half of the final installation of the series. Voldemort's power grows stronger and it's up to Harry, Ron and Hermione to finish Dumbledore's work and find the rest of the Horcuxes - I mean, he's gotta defeat the guy somehow.
The Next Three Days. So basically, this is that other movie that opens in theaters this weekend. Russell Crowe plays a guy who risks everything to break his wife out of prison. She's in there for murder, by the way - a murder she says she didn't commit.
Midnight Movie: Xanadu. Ever been to the movies in your jammies? You can do just that this weekend at Circle Cinema, host of the monthly Midnight Movie series. The November edition features the 1980 film Xanadu, rated PG.
Also in theaters: Megamind with Will Farrell and Brad Pit, Unstoppable with Denzel Washington and Chris Pine and Due Date with Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis.
