  • 15 anniversary of OKC bombing - 168 killed when Tim McVeigh and co-conspirator Terry Nichols detonated bomb in front of Murrah Federal Building.
  • Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry has ordered all American and Oklahoma flags on state property to be flown at half-staff on Monday,
  • DHS Sec Janet Napolitano will keynote this morning's ceremony.
  • Op/Ed from UTW reporter Mike Easterling "How We Picked Ourselves Up" in NYTimes.
  • 17th anniversary of Waco siege from Branch Davidian compound in Waco. 76 ppl, including 20 children killed in fire.
  • Carrie Underwood wins Entertainer of the Year award last night at ACM's; becoming first woman ever to win that award twice.
  • European airlines are flying test flights through volcanic ash and dust.
  • Ash cloud is expected to hit the east coast of the US and Canada this afternoon.
  • Toyota To Agree To $16.4 Million US Fine
  • Oops. Wrong guy. Muskogee police say Dondray Fowler has been charged with first-degree murder and five counts of assault with a deadly weapon. Michael Mayberry had previously been charged with first-degree murder but, that charge may soon be dropped. This comes after police discovered the gun they believe was used in the deadly Arrowhead Mall shooting.
  • Public confidence in gov't is at one of lowest points in 50 years, according to Pew Research Center. Nearly 8 in 10 Americans say they don't trust the federal government and have little faith it can solve America's ills.
  • Students attending their prom at OK Aquarium got a scare Friday, as an auto repossession company took their limos. The limos belonged to Galaxy Limousine and Executive Charter.  Initially, the limos were reported stolen.  Later learned the vehicles were being repossessed.
  • TPD seize 1500lbs of marijuana from an empty vehicle early Saturday morning. Just after midnight, an officer observed a Ford F350 truck with a 20 ft. enclosed trailer parked in an empty lot near 27th and South Memorial Ave.  Buster, the officer's K9 partner, detected illegal narcotics in the vehicle.
  • Australian cookbook typo calls for a dash of "freshly ground black people"
  • A new reality show is in the works that would be hosted by Michelle "Bombshell" McGee and Jamie Jungers -- it's all about celebrities who cheat on their loved ones. Jesse James' alleged mistress #1 and Tiger Woods' #we-lost-count would front a show called "Celebrity Cheaters."
  • DISCOVERY COMES HOME - Shuttle Discovery scheduled to land at Kennedy Space Center at 7:48am, after 22 orbits, and 14 days in space. Folks up early may have the rare chance to see the shuttle as it makes its way to earth. The route back to KSC will go straight across much of America's heartland.
