Music

  • KISS Tix. On sale at BOKCenter.com at 10am Saturday.
  • Mute Math. Saturday at 7pm, Cain's Ballroom.
  • Bob Dylan and His Band. Saturday night at 8pm, Brady Theater.
  • The Music of Italy. The Tulsa Symphony's version of The Italian Job. Saturday, 7:30pm, Tulsa PAC.
  • Music on the Lawn. Get your fill of Okie history at the grand opening of Your House, My House, a new, hands-on exhibit at Tulsa Historical Society. Sunday, 3pm.
  • Drive-By Truckers. Sunday at 7pm, Cain's Ballroom.

Halloween
  • Get Zombified! Learn survival strategies with a local zombie expert. Friday, 4:30pm, Martin Regional Library.
  • Psycho Path Haunted Attraction. Scares and screams for all. Now-Saturday this weekend, 7-11pm, Sperry.
  • The Hex House. Not for the faint of heart, including the kiddos. Now-Saturday this weekend, 7:30pm, 71st and Memorial.
  • Halloween Glassblowing. Make a glass pumpkin, skull or witch globe. Now-Halloween at Tulsa Glassblowing in the Brady District.
  • Tulsa Corn Maize. There's more to do at The Maize than just get lost. Now-Nov. 8 in Broken Arrow.
  • Haunted Castle Halloween Festival. For kids and the young at heart alike. Now-Saturday this weekend, 6-10pm, The Castle at Muskogee.
  • Scream Country Haunted Forest. 40 acres of dark, twisting forest. Tonight-Saturday this weekend, 7:30-11pm, Drumright.
  • Costumes. The lighter, more musical side of Halloween. Now-Saturday, 8pm and 2pm on Sunday, Linnaeus Garden Barn.
  • Camp Cute & Spooky. Don't forget to don those costumes. Saturday this weekend, 7-9pm at Discoveryland.
  • Owasso Harvest Festival. Held in conjunction with the Oklahoma State Chili Cook-off. Yum. Saturday at 11am, Centennial Park in Owasso.
  • Barktoberweenfestivary. An anniversary, Barktoberfest and Howl-oween, rolled into one big party. Saturday, 1-3pm, Dog Dish in the Farm Shopping Center.
  • Vampire Prom Nite Murder Mystery. Free wine is at stake. Saturday, 7pm, Whispering Vines Vineyard & Winery in west Tulsa.

For the Kids
  • Starry Safari. Camp out with the lions. Friday-Saturday, Tulsa Zoo.
  • Mother & Son Dance. Mamma, teach that boy to dance. Friday, 6:30pm, Owen Park Community Center.
  • OK Video Game Exhibition. Just like it sounds. Saturday, 9am-5pm, SpiritBank Event Center.
  • Route 66 Pecan & Fun Fest. 'Tis the season for pecan pickin'. Saturday, 10am-the wee hours.
  • Smith Farm Marketplace Health Fair and More. Saturday, 10am-1pm in Owasso.

Theater
  • Side Show. Who doesn't love a tale of conjoined twins? Friday and Saturday at 8pm, Tulsa PAC.
  • Dear Nebulon. An extraordinary visual exhibition. Friday and Saturday, 8pm, Nightingale Theater.
  • Finders Creepers. Things start to go bump in the night. Friday and Saturday, 8pm and Sunday at 2pm, Sapulpa Community Theater.
  • The Exonerated. Six true stories of released prisoners. Friday and Saturday, 8pm, Heller Theater.

Sports
  • OU v. Kansas. Watch the Sooners take on the Jawhawks on Cox Cable Channel 8 at 2:30pm.
  • OSU v. Baylor. Saturday, 11:30am.
  • U.S. Arabian and Half-Arabian Championship Horse Show. The best horse show in town all year. Now-Oct. 31, Expo Square.
  • Oklahoma Boulderfest. Hanging off the side of a rock? Don't threaten me with a good time. Friday-Sunday, Chandler Park.
  • Spaghetti Dinner for Route 66. Lots and lots and lots of yummy carbs. Friday, 7pm, Spaghetti Warehouse.
  • Oilers Opening Game. It's finally here! Saturday, 7:35pm, BOK Center.

  • 350kies Take a Stand for Climate Change. Who's not on the green team these days? Saturday, 2pm, Centennial Park at Sixth and Peoria in downtown Tulsa.
  • PlayDate Tulsa. Drinks, food, Hungry Hungry Hippos and Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots. Enough said. Saturday, 8pm, FlyTrap Music Hall.
  • Nimrod's Conference for Readers and Writers. An annual joining of the minds for lovers of the written word. Saturday, 10am, Allen Chapman Activity Center at TU.
  • Kitchens a la Tulsa. A self-guided tour of six swanky Tulsa kitchens. Sunday, noon-5pm.
  • Breast Impressions. A fashion show, a live auction and general fabulousness. Sunday, starting at 3pm, Woodland Hills Mall.

Movies
  • Saw VI. As if we needed more mental issues. Rated R.
  • Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant. A teenage boy friends his destiny when he stumbles upon a vampire and his traveling freak show. The newest John C. Reilly film. Rated PG-13.
  • Amelia. Hilary Swank somehow bears a striking resemblance to the pioneering aviatrix. Rated PG.
