• Remember that COPS grant that the city approved to hire 18 new officers? Now city leaders are told that they money could be used to retain or re-hire would-be laid off officers in budget cutbacks.
• OK is one of the most taxed states in the US. According to newly released numbers from the Tax Foundation, the states with the highest combined state-local tax rates are TN (9.41%), CA, WA, OK (8.44%) and LA.
