Ban Perfume and Cologne?

By Joe Kelley, Host of the KRMG Morning News

A state lawmaker in Minnesota seeks a campaign to denounce fragrances.

A Minnesota lawmaker proposed a bill Monday urging a fragrance-free educational campaign to discourage students from dousing themselves in scents that aggravate classmates with asthma and other health problems.

Confession - I have not worn any kind of body fragrances in more than 15 (or so) years. (I didn't mark it on my calendar.)

I find most applied fragrances to be nauseating and unnecessary. Fortunately, my hot wife feels the same way and very rarely wears perfumes.

Yet, I don't ever recall complaining to anyone about theirs.

But, I don't work in close quarters with anyone who overloads on fragrances. Of course, in school, many kids don't yet understand the nuances of fragrances.

Do you wear colognes/perfumes/body sprays?

Do you object to others that do?
