A 12-year-old girl struck and killed by a bullet while riding a scooter in a Paterson, New Jersey neighborhood has been removed from life support a day after she was declared brain-dead.
A spokeswoman for the family says Genesis Rincon's organs will be donated.
The Rev. Della Fischer says once the donation process is complete, "We'll be saying our final goodbyes."
Police in Paterson believe the shooter was aiming at someone else when Genesis was struck Saturday night.
