Water main break affecting Patrick Henry elementary school

The break is directly in front of the school and means there will be no water there today.

However, KRMG has learned that school will be in session.

KRMG's Russell Mills watched as water was carried into the school in large barrels for cooking, washing, and toilet flushing.

The break is directly in front of the school on 41st and Louisville, and will impact traffic.

It actually involves two lines, a 6-inch line and a 12-inch line, which meet at a "T" junction right under the intersection of Louisville and 41st Street.

The city has shut down both eastbound lanes, pushing eastbound traffic into one of the westbound lanes, effectively leaving one lane open in each direction.

There is also some patchy ice on the road in the area, and in the school's parking lot.

This is one of nearly 50 breaks around Tulsa in the last week.

Check back with KRMG as crews continue to repair the breaks.
