Sooners knocked out of Big 12 baseball tournament

By AP

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Matt Giller and Tanner Witt each drove in runs and Kansas State beat Oklahoma 4-3 Friday to eliminate the Sooners from the Big 12 tournament.

Dillon Overton (8-4) walked in the go-ahead run in the fifth inning, and the Wildcats (36-22) added a disputed run on Witt's squeeze bunt to make it 4-2. Sooners coach Sunny Golloway was ejected while arguing that Jason King should have been out when he scored K-State's fourth run.

Cameron Seitzer had an RBI single in the first, then doubled and scored in the fourth for Oklahoma (41-17). The Sooners got within 4-3 in the seventh, when Cale Ellis scored on an error.

James Allen earned his 17th save.

The Wildcats must beat Texas A&M twice Saturday to reach the championship game.
