UNDATED (AP) - Kansas City Royals reliever Vin Mazzaro will forever be the answer to the trivia question. Mazzaro, who entered Monday night's action with a 4.71 career ERA now sits at 5.24 after he became the third major league pitcher since 1947 to surrender 14 runs in a game, doing it in a 19-1 loss to Cleveland. Mazzaro was rocked for 10 runs in the fourth inning and four more in the fifth to end his outing. Kansas City's previous record for runs allowed by a pitcher had been 11, which had been done three times. Michael Brantley drilled a three-run homer and Travis Hafner added a three-run double during the fourth-inning fireworks.
Brantley and Matt LaPorta each had four RBIs in the Indians' biggest offensive outburst since a 22-run outburst against the Yankees in April 2009. The Indians improved to 15-4 at home and stretched their lead in the American League Central to 4 1/2 games over Detroit.
