Obama birth certificate released by the White House

You asked for it, you got it, finally. The White House has released the long form birth certificate of President Barak Obama after months of arguments about whether the President was really born in the United States. So called "birthers" have long claimed that Obama was botn outside the borders of the U.S making him unable to run for, or be elected as President.

The White House and Obama himself have said many times that the President is in fact an American citizemn, born in Honolulu, Hawaii. The just released certificate says the same thing and shows his father as an African student and his mother as a U.S. citizen from Wichita, Kansas.

While Tulsans in general are widely believed to lean heavily toward the conservative end of the spectrum, KRMG News had trouble locating many during "man on the street" interviews who say they buy into the "birther" conspiracy theory.

We showed the document released by the White House to several people at the post office at 51st and Sheridan, and all said it looked legitimate to them.

By contrast, numerous people have posted to KRMG's Facebook page, saying they strongly believe the document is fake and maintain their belief that President Obama was not born in the U.S.
