Washington DC, San Diego, Boulder, Charlotte and Tulsa have something in common.  All are listed in the top 10 places to live as listed by Relocate America.  Adam Murphy agrees with the assessment.  He moved from Los Angeles to Tulsa in 2009.  Before he made the decision, Murphy spent a month sizing up the town where he grew up since he'd been gone for 12 years.  He says Tulsa has something special- the people and the community mindset.

"You know that is why I moved back- I would say it was 90% business.  The way that Tulsa seems to be a really good place to take care of its own and it is self-sustained to use business local- buy local and support that local community," says Murphy.

Murphy is a commercial and portrait photographer and opened his photography business near downtown.

Tulsa is listed as #6 on list of best places to live in 2010 by Relocate America.
