TULSA, Okla. —
Contractors are knocking down concrete and removing a massive beam that was damaged when a dump truck hit the eastbound I-244 bridge over Third Street last week.
While that work is going on, no cars are allowed on the highway or on 3rd Street below.
Lots of pedestrians and cyclists use 3rd Street to get into downtown.
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation is asking people to obey the barriers and find a different way to cross under I-244.
The $450,000 repair is expected to be completed by Thanksgiving.
