Rogers County —

A woman dies after being hit by a vehicle on the Will Rogers Turnpike late Friday night.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol says it happened around 9:35 p.m., on I-44 in Rogers County.

Joyce M. Kapcsos was a passenger in a disabled vehicle on the side of the road.  She got out of the vehicle and a second vehicle didn't see her or the Ford Tauras on the side of the road.

The on-coming pick-up collided into her and the vehicle.

OHP says she passed away at the hospital.  The driver of the Tauras was taken to the hospital and released.

The two people inside the pick-up were not seriously injured.
