Tulsa Police are investigating a shooting near 51st and South 27th West Avenue.

Tulsa Police Sergeant Gary Otterstrom tells us that there had been an argument in front of the house before shots were fired.

"Apparently it was suspects shooting into the house and one of the rounds struck the victim. She's currently at a hospital in surgery."

Otterstrom tells us the victim had warned other people in the house to take cover before the shooting started about 12:45 a.m. Tuesday.

"Apparently there had been an argument in front of the house a little bit earlier. The victim had noticed something that scared her and she gave warning to the other two occupants of the house."

Tulsa Police Sergeant Gary Otterstrom tells us the victim has been identified as 30-year old Ashley Dietrich.

She was hospitalized in serious condition.

Police are looking for the suspect whose name has not been released.
