By Michael Purdy

Tulsa, Okla. —

A man tries to con his way into a woman's apartment in an attempted home invasion early Sunday morning.

Tulsa police said it happened around 12:45 a.m. near South Santa Fe Avenue and West 61st Street South.

The suspect knocked on the door and said he was with maintenance.

When the woman started to open the door, the suspect tried to push his way inside.

Police said the woman wouldn't let the man into her place and slammed the door on the man's arm.

During the struggle the suspect did land one punch, but the female would not let the man inside.

Police said she got the door shut, called police and the suspect took off.

TPD doesn't have a lot of info about the suspect other then he's a black male.
