Wind will be a factor for your Memorial Day activities on land and on water.  The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for 59 of Oklahoma's 77 counties.  Bart Haake with the National Weather Service office in Tulsa says an advisory is issued when wind gusts are expected to excede 40 miles an hour.  He says that is what we will see across the area for today and warns those driving and boating.

"It will affect both- anybody that is going to be involved in recreational lake activities will really want to pay attention to that.  They may even see higher gusts along those areas on lakes that have particularly long patches.  We will probably see gusts today 40 to 45 miles an hour is not out of the question," says Haake.

He also warns drivers to be careful since those wind gusts could certainly make driving SUV's, trucks and higher profile vehicles more difficult.

The warning is in place from 7am to 7pm.
