It's still too early to predict what path a storm system will take after it gets closer to Oklahoma.

National Weather Service Tulsa Chief Meteorologist Steve Piltz tells us the storm still has a long way to go before it gets here on Christmas Day.

"We've seen the computer models swing wildly over the last couple days. We've seen as much as twenty inches of snow forecast from Tulsa. We've seen zero inches of snow forecast for Tulsa and it's swinging almost model run to model run at this point," Piltz said.

The storm still has a long way to go before coming to Oklahoma.

"It skirts Alaska, dives hard towards California, gets into the southern Rockies and then lifts up into Oklahoma. That's a giant roller coaster kind of a path and so you can see where any change at all would dramatically change where this storm ends up."

Piltz told the News On 6 that he plans to update the city tomorrow.

The city says it's ready with 45 snow plows and 62 salt and sand spreaders.
