Victim runs from armed robbery suspect, bullets

A man is lucky to be alive, after getting shot at during an armed robbery late Friday afternoon.

The armed robbery happened around 5:45 p.m., when the victim left a McDonalds near West 21st and Southwest Boulevard.

Tulsa police say an unidentified suspect ambushed the victim with a gun, got into his vehicle, and made the victim drive him to a nearby QuikTrip.  The suspect wanted the victim to take money out of his ATM.

We're told the victim did drive the suspect to a QT, but then ran from the suspect as soon as he got out of his vehicle.  The suspect fired multiple shots, but the victim wasn't hit.

Police say the victim's vehicle was located not far from the scene of the crime.

The suspect is described as a black male, 180 pounds, with braided hair and a "star" tattoo.

Anybody with information regarding the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
