A wrong-way driver on the Turner Turnpike near Kellyville in Creek County has left two people dead and one person injured.

We're told someone entered the turnpike headed east in the westbound lanes at Kellyville at 11:53 p.m. Thursday.

Gary Kruse with the News On 6 says the driver came up the Kellyville exit ramp "travelled a few miles sideswiped one vehicle. There were no injuries in that collision."

The driver kept going for a couple of more miles and became involved in a head-on crash with another vehicle.

A third driver struck that wreckage and was taken to the hospital.

"Troopers said that there was one occupant in each vehicle. Two were dead at the scene, one was transported to a Tulsa hospital."

Kruse tells us that traffic was diverted on the turnpike for over two hours while Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers investigated the scene.

Later about 2 a.m., the Oklahoma Highway Patrol tells us truck driver 20-year old Keith Charles Wilson of Skiatook ran off the road near North Peoria at 131st Street North and hit some trees.

He died at the scene.

The other victims' names have been released.
