Detectives are trying to figure out what happened inside a home in Tahlequah where two people were found dead.

Police went to the home Wednesday night around 9:00 for a welfare check.

When no one would come to the door, officers forced their way inside.

Jessica Brown, with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, says, “Made entry into the home and found a man and woman dead inside. There’s significant trauma to their bodies. So, certainly we are investigating this as a homicide.”

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation was called in to help with the case.

OSBI says the double homicide happened at 106 Louellen.

Investigators are working to confirm the identities of the man and woman and find anyone with information on the case.
