The city of Tulsa is behind on addressing city code violations at homes across the city.
In fact, Tulsa has 1,700 code enforcement complaints backlogged.
A resident we spoke to says there are a whole bunch of creepy crawlies out and about because people are not keeping up their yards and something needs to get done.
"Bunch of rats and snakes and things like that," the resident said. "Yeah, that's a big problem."
Officials blame a hiring freeze and budget cuts for putting them so far behind. However, the city says they are working on the problem.
