Tulsa firefighters responded to a house fire and a possible arson apartment building fire early Thursday.

The house fire was reported at 12:15 a.m. It was located at 4145 East Xyler Street.

Firemen arrived to find heavy smoke and fire coming from the garage area of the structure that eventually spread to the roof.

Firefighters say a woman who was using a walker device to get around was able to get out of the burning house without receiving any injury.

Firemen were able to extinguish the fire but the structure is expected to be declared a complete loss.

The fire marshal was called to the scene to investigate what caused the fire.

Later at 1:10 a.m., firemen responded to an apparent arson fire at the Pomeroy Apartments complex at 6739 South Lewis Avenue.

Shortly after firemen arrived, other respondents were cancelled before arriving at the scene.

Investigators are looking for an individual who may have started the fire.

The fire was located in a breezeway area, but the fire never entered any of the apartments.

The Red Cross was called to the scene to assist some residents who were displaced by the smoke from the fire.
