Tulsa jail records show 49-year old Virgil Wallace Poole, Junior, was arrested yesterday at his home at 1209 West 11th Street.
We've learned Poole allegedly locked his girlfriend in a closet last December, hit her in the head with a hammer and gave her third-degree burns on her body with a curling iron.
The victim then filed a protective order against Poole, which he violated in January.
Department of Corrections records tell us Poole also had been convicted of distributing drugs back in 1991.
Poole is being held in jail on a $575,000 bond.
