By Don Bishop

Tulsa firefighters were able to see flames inside a house when they arrived near 61st Street and South Sandusky Avenue early Tuesday.

The only resident of the house was standing outside when firemen got there about 2:54 a.m.

We're told the resident did not get hurt, but the fire took its toll on his house.

News On 6 photojournalist Gary Kruse tells us the fire "damaged two rooms extensively and smoke and heat throughout the rest of the house."

A fire marshal was called to the scene to investigate the cause of the fire.
