Tulsa father gets fourth DUI, son found inside truck

A Tulsa father had three DUIs before this week.

After getting booked into the Tulsa County Jail early Monday morning, he could soon have a fourth.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol say David Baxter's pickup hit a black Cadillac and he didn't stick around the scene.  A witness then followed the pickup from the Creek Turnpike to the area of 68th and Canton.

When troopers caught up to Baxter, he was passed out at the wheel.  Plus, his 5-year-old son was inside the vehicle.

It was obvious Baxter was intoxicated.  OHP say he had slurred speech, smelled like alcohol, and he was unable to perform any field sobriety testing.

Baxter was then taken into custody.

His son had a cut on his chin from the crash.  It's believed the boy struck the dash board because he was not seat belted in during the collision.

The boy was picked up by DHS.
