Tulsa city auction includes a police mobile command post

Twice a year, the City of Tulsa auctions off surplus items, and this weekend bargain hunters will find quite an eclectic assortment of merchandise.

Some of the highlights include several ambulances, motorcycles, trash trucks, and even a mobile police command post.

A large number of electronic devices for home and office are also available, as well as BB and pellet guns, a saddle and set of spurs, and lawn equipment.

If you wish to attend in person, the auction takes place Saturday, May 2 beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the city's surplus warehouse facility, 108 N. Trenton.

The gates open at 7:30 a.m. for registration and to see the items.

Bidding ends at 4:30 p.m.

Bidders are encouraged to register ahead of time, they can register on site.

Registration is required.

To purchase items, bidders must have cash on hand, or a Visa/MasterCard.

To write a personal check, they must have a letter from the bank guaranteeing they have sufficient funds.
