Thief admits to stealing mail all over town

A man becomes chatty, after being taken into custody Tuesday morning for outstanding warrants.

Tulsa police say Eddie Robertson confessed to stealing mail from mailboxes all over town.

Robertson would then make counterfeit checks, with checks he found in the mail.  He admitted to either cashing the checks himself or writing them over to a friend.

No word on if he still possessed any of the stolen mail.

This is hardly the first time Robertson has found himself in trouble with the law. 

In an arrest and booking report, police say "Eddie has spent numerous years in prison."
