Sunny and warm weather moves into Tulsa, colder later in the week

By April Hill

The afternoon high for Monday is in the lower to mid-80s.

News On 6 Meteorologist Alan Crone says the next chance for rain is Wednesday afternoon.

A few isolated showers or storms are possible in far eastern Oklahoma.

The quick moving system is only expected to deliver light showers in the Tulsa area.

Crone says the rain will move into the Green Country around noon and 2:00 and clear out by 5:00 p.m.

Alan says, “The rest of the week appears pleasant with cool mornings in the 40s and afternoon temps slightly below the normal average with highs Thursday and Friday expected near or slightly below 70.”

By the weekend, we’ll see sunshine with morning lows in the 40s and 50s and highs in the upper 70s.

Our area got anywhere from two to four inches of rain after Saturday night's storms, but we're still close to seven inches below normal for the year.
