The windy conditions around Tulsa and northeast Oklahoma may be why some PSO customers were without electricity this morning.

South winds up to 40 mph early today are suspected of causing the power loss.

Tweets started coming in to KRMG about 4 a.m. today after power failures were noticed by about 2,245 PSO customers around the area of 51st and South Peoria.

Street lights were out along South Peoria Avenue from near East 51st Street down to East 54th Street.

PSO crews had restored electricity to the affected area by 5 a.m.
