A semi truck crashed through the barrier walls of eastbound I-44 and ended up closing traffic completely in the westbound lanes this morning. The truck also ruptured it's fuel tanks and spilled diesel on the roadway. A wrecker removed the truck but traffic in the area is likley to be delayed for much of the morning.
The driver of the truck told KRMG that one of his tires slipped off the road and he over-corrected to try and stay on the road. That over-correction caused the truck to crash through the median and end up in the westbound lanes.

Reports from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol say there were no injuries in the crash but the truck lost it's front end at is heavily damaged.
