Sand Springs, Okla. —

56-year-old Jack Lee Evans faces charges of manufacturing meth, as well as child endangerment and caretaker abuse, after police say he exposed his son and father to a meth lab.

Evans was arrested Monday after police got a tip there could be a meth lab in the 1200 block of Eucha Creek Place.

When they got to the scene, officers say they smelled a distict chemcial odor that was characteristic of a meth lab.

They say they also found numerous pipes and other drug paraphenalia.

Evans told police he was the primary caretaker for his elderly father.

Both the father and Evans' son were taking to a hospital so they could be checked for any exposure to meth or the dangerous chemicals used in producing it.
