UPDATE: The latest rumor, reported by Yahoo Sports, seems to indicate that Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema has been hired as the new head coach at the University of Arkansas.

This contradicts previous rumors that OSU coach Mike Gundy had been offered the job.

Gundy's name has also been linked to the coaching vacancy at the University of Tennessee.

Social media is abuzz with rumors and speculation that Oklahoma State University head football coach Mike Gundy could be heading to the University of Arkansas to accept the same position there.

Most of the rumors on Facebook and Twitter seem to indicate that Gundy has been offered the UA job and has until Wednesday to decide.

Fayetteville TV station KFSM reports that several of the station's sources have confirmed that Gundy has been offered the job but has not yet accepted.

USA Today cites an inside source that Arkansas is set to hire its next coach but it is not Gundy.

One sports columnist for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette says via Twitter, "Hogs have their coach. Not Gundy. Should be announced today". Another columnist from the same newspaper says, "Our people are saying that unless this falls through, Arkansas has found its man in Mike Gundy"
