Wind, rain and hail are what we saw in the Tulsa metro area Tuesday night with the first round of storms.

There were reports of wind gusts up to 60 or 65 miles per hour reported in Broken Arrow, Creek County and Okmulgee County.

We also got reports of pea size hail in South Tulsa, Jenks and Owasso.

KRMG heard from a driver on Highway 169 that his vehicle was being pushed all over the road because of the wind and he was having trouble keeping his vehicle in his lane.

All a dress rehearsal for what will come today.

"We think after last night's storms, we believe the atmosphere is going to try and reset today. We think the instability is going to redevelop and we could get one or two round of storms this afternoon and into the overnight hours,” says Steve Piltz with the National Weather Service.

He tells KRMG that Wednesday could be more severe.

"Given the overall environment is not going to change a lot, the severe weather potential will be there and in fact some of the better potential may shift a little bit more this direction out of central Oklahoma. So, we will have to watch it close,” says Piltz.
