Two men are under arrest, accused of various crimes including eluding Green Country deputies and possession of paraphernalia.

Captain Jerry Smittle, with the Rogers County Sheriff's Office, says deputies spotted a truck swerving on Highway 66 Monday night.

A deputy turned on his lights but the car, with Jeffrey Strickland behind the wheel, sped up and ran several stop signs.

Eventually Strickland pulled into a driveway in Foyil and ran toward the house.

And after a brief standoff the passenger, identified as Joshua Jones, surrenderred without incident.

Smittle says as Jones was being placed in custody Strickland then walked out of the residence and stated that he was sorry for running and surrendered to deputies.

Mr. Strickland was placed under arrest for multiple traffic violations and eluding.
