It took more than $700,000 and 651 days, but next Friday the Admiral Twin drive-in theater will once again project blockbuster movies onto an outdoor big-screen.
The historic screen tower had stood for 60 years before spectacularly burning down in September, 2010.
Fans of the iconic drive-in, where movie The Outsiders was filmed, raised $30,000 towards the rebuild effort.
The last movie shown at the Admiral Twin before it burned down was The Last Exorcism and Predators.
The first movies that will be shown next Friday night are Rock of Ages, MIB3, The Avengers and Snow White and the Huntsman.
