It took some doing, but a German may be the oldest woman to have ever delivered quadruplets.
They were born prematurely to a 65-year-old woman who is still in intensive care in a Berlin hospital, but doctors say the babies have been gaining a little weight.
Their mother, Annegret Raunigk, already had 13 children, ages 9 to 44 by five other fathers.
Raunigk traveled out of Germany to have donated, fertilized eggs transferred.
The girl and three boys were born May 19 by C-section.
