It's always been said it's impossible to please everyone. But it looks like congress can't please anyone. Every year the Gallup organization does a poll asking Americans to rank various professions and their ethical standards. In 2011, congress was ranked as low or very low by 64% of the voters, tying the record for the lowest ranking for any profession ever. In 2008 lobbyists reached the 64% range with telemarketers coming in at 63% in 2002.

So that's what the average American say but what about Oklahoma? We took the recorders and the news unit and headed to the library to gauge how you feel. The results were not much different. "I just think they've done a pretty lousy job and everyone is disgusted with them" one lady told us as she was checking out. What are the biggest complaints people have with our elected officials? "The decay of our economy nowadays days because of the bad political influence, mainly corruption, it doesn't surprise me at all" another man told us.

Click here to listen as we ask people their opinion.

Everyone has an opinion on how money should be spent, especially out hard earned tax money. One young woman was most disgusted because she thinks that cash is being wasted on things that don't do the most good. "We have homeless here but we're sending aircraft up to check other plants, just a lot of stuff" she frowned.

We want to know if you agree with the Gallup folks. Please vote in our poll here before you leave and we welcome your comments as well in that section below.
