Police make marijuana bust near child care facility

Marijuana bust
Rayshawn Crawford was arrested on Monday in Glenpool.

By Michael Purdy

Glenpool, Okla. —

A marijuana bust is made a few hundred feet from a child care facility.

Police say 19-year-old Rayshawn Crawford was arrested at his home in Glenpool on Monday.

Officers searched the house and found marijuana seeds, plants, stems and equipment used to grow pot in the house and garage.

Police say they were acting on a tip from kids that lived in the neighborhood.

Crawford wasn't the only person inside the house.

Police say a woman and an infant were also inside the home.

The woman told officers she thought Crawford was growing vegetables.

He remains in the Tulsa County Jail on several drug-related charges including cultivation of marijuana in the presence of a minor and possession of a controlled drug within 1,000 feet of a school or park.
