Plenty of road construction is waiting for Thanksgiving travelers

By Chris Cordt

If you're heading out of town for Thanksgiving, be ready for some construction.

I-35 is narrowed to one lane in each direction at US-64 (Fir St.) in Perry.

The speed limit on north and southbound I-35 is reduced to 60 mph south of Guthrie at the Seward Rd. interchange.

Drivers can expect intermittent lane closures on eastbound I-40 at the I-40 Business Loop (Exit 25) in Sayre.

The eastbound I-40 off-ramp to the I-40 Business Loop (Gary Blvd, Exit 65) in Clinton is closed. Drivers should use the off-ramp to 10th St (Exit 65A).

I-40 is narrowed to one lane in each direction over Mayberry Rd., 5 miles west of US-270.

I-40 is narrowed to one lane in each direction between I-40B in Henryetta and US-75 east of Okemah. Drivers can expect intermittent lane closures on southbound US-75 between SH-16 near Beggs and the US-62 junction in Okmulgee.

US-69 is narrowed to one lane in each direction at SH-150 north of Eufaula.

Cable barrier installation is underway on the Cimmaron Turnpile north of Stillwater  from milemarker 40 to 51. The speed limit is reduced.

There are also various construction projects along a 10 mile strech of the Kilpatrick Turnpike in Oklahoma City.
