Pit Bull charges officer, gets shot

We've learned a Tulsa officer was forced to shoot a Pit Bull Saturday morning.

The incident happened around 7 a.m., near Pine and Sheridan.

Police say they arrived at the scene and three pit bulls were running free.

When one of the officers exited his vehicle, a dog charged him and was shot.  The dog then ran to a nearby home.

An unidentified man ran out to the officers and told them the dogs belonged to his friend.

This led police to a home where they came into contact with Donica McIntosh.  She confirmed the dogs belonged to her and then went back inside her home to retrieve her ID.

She returned with her boyfriend, Ryan Mathis, and they refused to provide IDs.  They also stated the dogs didn't belong to them, despite what Mcintosh told officers just minutes earlier.

Police say they could see the dogs inside their living room.

Mathis and McIntosh face multiple counts including harboring a vicious animal and dog at large.

A condition of the shot dog wasn't released.
