OWASSO, Okla. —
Owasso Police are trying to reassure worried neighbors that an assault with a deadly weapon over the weekend was not random.
Officers were dispatched early Sunday morning at the Preston Lakes Apartment Complex, located near 8800 North 145th East Avenue in Owasso.
Investigators tell KRMG that this incident was not a random act of violence and that the victim and suspect in this case were acquainted.
The victim was taken by Owasso Fire Department paramedics to an area hospital.
The investigation is still ongoing.
