In an exclusive interview with KRMG News, a former cellmate of accused husband-killer Amber Helberling declares that Helberling is innocent of the charges against her.

Hilberling is accused of throwing her husband through a 25^th floor window in downtown Tulsa in June of last year.

Alishia Peer met Helberling in jail at the David L Moss Criminal Justice Center as both awaited trail on different charges.

Peer says she believes Hilberling is innocent.

“Absolutely 110%. There’s not one ounce of me that believes that she is guilty of this.”

Peer spent a little more than a month with Hilberling before Peer’s child abuse charges were dismissed.

She says the two would go to church while behind bars, sometimes twice a day.

Peer tells KRMG, “We were in the same pod together. We ate together we went to church together and all kind of took care of each other.”

The inmates talked about Hilberling’s case.

“She said ‘I’m innocent. I’m not going to give up. I want to go home to my son.’”

Hilberling's bond was revoked in January after she tested positive for marijuana twice.

Her friend says, unfortunately, that’s not uncommon teenager behavior.

Amber Hilberling’s trial is scheduled for March.
