The total amount of snowfall that Tulsa received on Tuesday was one-tenth of an inch.

Mike Lacy at the National Weather Service tells us that information is significant.

"It is the latest that we have received our first measurable snow since 1932 so that goes back quite a ways," Lacy said.

If we had not received that tenth of an inch, Lacy says we would have been in very uncharted territory.

"It's been over a hundred years. I think it was 1911 or 1912, something like that."

Lacy says time is running out and we had better get some snowfall this month.

"Generally if we get snows in late February or March, they do not stick around very long, so the clock is ticking."

This is the second winter in a row that we have been lacking for snow.
