A shooter opens fire and kills a man inside the Fairmont Terrace Apartments near 61st and South Peoria.

We're told the shootings happened fast about 12:04 a.m. Thursday and the suspects didn't waste any time getting away.

Tulsa Police Captain Travis Yates tells us, "Someone knocked on the door and someone invaded the home and our victims didn't see anything."

Officers arrived within minutes and found a black male in his late teens or early twenties dead inside the apartment.

Police are looking for possibly three males with the shooter being a light skin black male, twenty to thirty years old wearing a gray, hooded sweatshirt.

An ongoing police task force is investigating the violent crime that has happened in that same area near 5808 South Owasso Avenue.

This is the 37th homicide in Tulsa in 2012.  Anyone with information on this murder, please call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-2477, the Homicide Tip Line at 798-8477 or email homicide@cityoftulsa.org

A second black male in his late thirties or early forties was shot inside the apartment.

He was taken to a hospital, but we're told his injuries were not life-threatening.
