Oklahoma solider Bradley Manning to testify about why he leaked documents

Manning released a statement saying he wanted a discussion to occur about the role of the military and foreign policy in general.

The statement and court appearance will be the first time Manning has offered any kind of explanation of his actions.

The Pentagon has also decided to release even more secret rulings in the case.

Among those, a judge ruled Manning had not been denied his right to a speedy trial, even though he had been locked up for several years before trial.

Manning leaked more than 350,000 documents in his time as Army Intelligence analyst.
