An entrepreneurial pawn shop owner in Oklahoma City named Chelsey Davis is hoping to turn the ongoing ammunition shortage into a profitable venture.

He calls it “Cash for Bullets”, and in just the first three days of his project, he says he’s bought roughly 10-thousand bullets.

“I constantly hear that there’s a shortage, people are selling out at all the gun shops, stores everywhere, and I hope to remedy that by creating an exchange place for them,” Davis said.

Gun owners say even big stores like Wal-Mart have a shortage of the most popular calibers of ammunition.

But while the cash might be tempting, some gun owners like Lance Pitzer say they'd rather hang onto their ammo.

“We’ll just hold onto to what we have, so we can enjoy the shooting sports,” Pitzer said.
