TULSA, Okla. —

Another place to lay your head is about to be built in downtown Tulsa.  Ground will be broken Thursday morning for the Fairfield Inn & Suites in the Brady Village.  It’s the latest hotel announcement for downtown.

The $11 million, four story hotel and retail center will be built on what is now a surface parking lot on Main St. between Archer and Brady.  The hotel will have 104 rooms and feature 11,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and entertainment space on the street level.

The Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott should open in 2012 along with an Aloft-Starwood Hotel that’s going into the old Tulsa City Hall building at the Civic Center.
